Well we had a relaxing dinner at the Compass last night-prickly pear margarita for me and traditional for Bert, followed by steak dinner and flourless chocolate cake topped with marshmallows. It is a rotating restaurant on top of the Hyatt. We had great views of the mountains and the city.
We got a unique view of Chase field from the restaurant. We relaxed, booked flights to New York, Milwaukee, and Kansas City and then to bed.
We woke at 7 and had breakfast at Steve’s across from Hyatt. Good place to get a reasonable meal at a reasonable price. Bert had pepperjack omlet and I had french toast.
We returned to Hyatt and went to print out flight reservations. It was a $5 charge for 30 minutes at business center and this is only thing I didn’t like about our stay. We met a couple of Giants fans in the lobby from Palm Springs who had seen us on Kruk and Kuip broadcast. They wanted autographs. I was fun talking baseball. The husband has been a Giants fans for 50 plus years. Wow! We then went up to the room to complete our White Sox entry in the passport. Our baseball friends Gina and Mike who sit in the row in front of us sent us the book as a surprise gift to record the trip. We got our 1st stamp at US Cellular.
While on the 19th floor we met a Giants ticket holder who was a past fan of the year for attending 78 of the 81 home games. I don’t know if the Giants will consider us for this honor this season. She was here with a girlfriend who was celebrating her birthday and wanted a Giants win. We have a feeling the Giants will deliver. We will be in section 208 tonight, the Arizona baseball club tomorrow and section 313 row 2 seat 7,8 on Sunday.
Thanks for being part of our adventure.
